Labor Day weekend is often spent in Great Bend, KS visiting Grandma and Grandpa and enjoying Becker Tire’s awesome land they call Team Acres. Team Acres is basically a giant playground for kids and adults. We’re talking kayaks, mini golf, go carts, sand volleyball, fishing, pontoon boat, bikes, fire pit (complete with hook ups for live music), a treehouse, cabin, and more. Well, this year was a little different because I stayed back in KC to help celebrate my BFF’s 30th birthday. My parents also came over and we painted the built ins in the nursery and my Dad fixed up the changing table. Although I missed out on the Team Acres fun, it was good to hang out with friends and also get a lot done that I wouldn’t normally be able to do with E running around. M was brave enough to still make the 4 hour trek out to GB without me in order to enjoy the family time out at Team Acres. From what I’ve heard, E had an absolute blastĀ running around all day playing with the big kids. The car rides there and back (thanks to timing around bedtime and nap time) even went really well and I think M and E had a fun-filled Daddy/daughter weekend.
